Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our tree recycling program.
When will my tree be picked up?
Your tree will be picked up on January 2nd, 2027. Most units complete their routes by 4pm.
What time should I have my tree outside by?
Please have your tree outside by 8amon pickup day to make sure it's collected.
Where should I place my tree?
The best spot is where it's most visible from the street. The front of your drivewayis ideal so we don't miss it. Keep it away from bushes so it doesn't blend in with other vegetation.
What happens if I don't get my tree out in time?
You'll need to contact your local unit coordinator directly. Their contact information is on the flyer you received, or you can look up your unit on this website.
Can I request a pickup on an earlier or later date?
Generally, no. There are extensive logistics involved in making this an efficient and safe event for Scouts, so all pickups are coordinated for the same day to maximize efficiency.
Do you accept flocked trees?
Generally no โ flocked trees aren't accepted due to recycling restrictions. You can reach out to the unit servicing your area to see if they can accommodate a special request.
How can I donate?
Each unit has different donation methods. Your unit lists its preferred options on its flyer, and you can also look up donation information for your specific unit on this website.
Do I have to donate?
Noโ donations are completely voluntary. They're greatly appreciated, though, and help support Scout programs and activities throughout the year.
Can I help with the pickup?
Due to youth protection rules and insurance requirements, we ask that only registered Scouts and adult leaders participate in pickup activities. Thank you for understanding!
I didn't get a flyer and the site says no unit covers my area
We make every effort to cover all neighborhoods in Clark County and Longview. Please leave your information on our form and we'll do our best to have a unit pick up your tree. See our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
