Privacy Policy

This site helps residents find the Scout unit that recycles Christmas trees in their area and request a pickup. We collect only what we need to run the program and we're upfront about what is stored and who sees it.

When you look up an address, we use it to find the coverage area and Scout unit that serves it. Your exact address from a coverage check is not stored.

For program analytics (for example, finding neighborhoods we should cover) we keep a coarse, rounded location — accurate only to roughly a kilometer — along with whether the area was covered. This cannot identify your home.

If you submit a pickup request, we store the information you provide so a unit can complete the pickup:

• Your name (optional)
• An email address and/or phone number so the unit can reach you
• The pickup address and any notes you add (e.g., gate codes)

This information is stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) and is used only to coordinate your tree pickup.

Pickup requests are shared only with the Scout unit assigned to your area and the program administrators who help coordinate the event. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers or other third parties.

Access to request details is restricted to the assigned unit and administrators, and raw analytics logs are limited to specific administrator accounts. We keep request data only as long as needed to run the recycling program. You can ask us to remove your information at any time using the contact below.

We use minimal cookies only for basic site functionality, such as keeping Scout units and administrators signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
